responsible for providing maintenance services to keep the facility
buildings, grounds, and equipment in
good repair. In so doing, significant contributions are made to the
safety, well-being and comfort of residents and employees.ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete assigned work requests procedures and assigned
preventative maintenance work orders as assigned by supervisor or
department director such as, but not limited to: appliance repair,
light carpentry work, routine motor vehicle maintenance, routine
plumbing repair, routine repairs on heating/air conditioning, low
voltage applications, swimming pools, fire alarms in accordance
with procedures and industry acceptable standards. On occasion and
as needed may need to provide housekeeping services.
- Inspects facilities, systems and their components for the
purpose of ensuring safety and cleanliness and identifying
necessary repairs.
- Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and small power
tools and other power tools. Maintains tools and/or equipment for
ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating
condition.
- Requires general labor and responsibility for event set-ups,
deliveries and moves.
- Basic understanding and care of buildings must be a good
steward of the tools and property given for completing work
orders.
- Must be able to troubleshoot building and equipment issues as
they arise.
- Willingness to learn and expand trade knowledge of maintenance
and facilities.
- Assist other maintenance staff as needed.
- Have availability to be included in the on-call
schedule.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Required Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certificate(s): Valid Driver's License
- Experience: Entry LevelKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Basic skill knowledge of working of machinery, equipment and
systems within the field.
- Ability to diagnose and repair various equipment.
- Knowledge in safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to problem solve and work in a team.
- Ability to adapt, prioritize and communicate.PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
- Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an
office/community setting.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and
twist.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate
amounts of weight up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate various equipment base on department and
weather conditions
- Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers
- typing and/or writing.
- Clarity of Vision:
- For near visual acuity Clarity of vision at approximately 20
inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small
print), including use of computers.
- For far visual acuity, Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
This is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the
ability to recognize features as well.
- For peripheral vision, observing an area that can be seen up
and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given
point.Compensation Pay Range: $15.82 - $21.83Reasonable Pay
EstimateA reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is
$15.82 - $21.83. There are numerous factors taken into
consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay,
including but not limited to: job-related qualifications,
experience, skills, education, geographic location, and
consideration of internal and external equity.For full time
