Job Description:
Overview of Position:This position will serve as the leader of
the IT Infrastructure team, with the primary responsibility for
overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of
our IT infrastructure. This role involves managing the
Infrastructure team, including both managers and individual
contributors to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems,
and align IT Infrastructure initiatives with Transdev's overall
business objectives. The Director of IT Infrastructure plays a
critical role in ensuring our systems support business operations
and growth. Director works closely with other IT leaders on
priorities related to core IT networking, storage, infrastructure,
and telecommunications systems at our corporate and client/field
locations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong
background in IT infrastructure management, network management, and
IT security, and the ability to roll up their sleeves and perform
individual contributor work when needed.Transdev is proud to

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technology operations (e.g., data center, server
and physical infrastructure, network, telecom, data storage,
backup/recovery, and disaster recovery) to ensure uptime and
reliability.
- Deliver 24x7x365 network oversight through network management
tools and services which provide monitoring and management of all
network infrastructure to maximize performance and uptime.
- Define and report Key Performance Indicators to monitor network
and telecom systems health and provide regular updates to IT and
business leadership.
- Coordinate and manage the response to network and connectivity
incidents and oversee the outage analysis to prevent the
reoccurrence of future incidents.
- Coordinate the team of network engineers, consultants and
vendors engaged in the management of networking and connectivity
activities.
- Oversee the installation, configuration and support of network
equipment and technologies including routers, firewall, switches,
WAN accelerators, wireless equipment to maximize network efficiency
and security.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and
associated training plans for network resource administration and
appropriate use.
- Oversee asset management activities related to the entire life
cycle of networking equipment and telecommunications services.
- Management of networking and telecommunications service
providers and develop purchase recommendations for equipment.
- Work with IT leadership team on the development of strategies
to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of network and
telecommunications capabilities. Document and implement
best-practice standard operating procedures across internal and
external operating groups.
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity, Business Solutions, Data
Services, and IT Service Delivery teams to oversee the network
vulnerability management program and risk mitigation activities
(segmentation, updates, security monitoring, intrusion detection
and prevention, etc.).
- Develop and implement an Enterprise Architecture strategy,
including a Cloud strategy to enhance the agility, capacity, and
resiliency of the IT infrastructure.
- Continually evaluate new opportunities for improved operational
excellence through expanded third-party relationships and through
internal technical and operational optimization.
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks
associated with ongoing operations and new/planned maintenance
activities.
- Participate in yearly IT audits (Cyber, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, etc.)
and ensure all controls are followed as per
implementation.Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in IT
Infrastructure.
- Continuous education and training in the IT field.
- Networking, Infrastructure, ITIL and Cybersecurity certificates
and training not required but strongly desired.Experience:
- Minimum 10-15+ years of IT related experience with progressive
responsibility in IT Infrastructure, for medium to large,
multi-site enterprise organizations.
- Proven Director level experience managing core IT Network,
Telecom, Data Center, Cloud, and Infrastructure systems.
- Business focus and experience from a similar role in a
geographically dispersed multi-site environment, with both
corporate IT and field/client site IT responsibility.
- Experience with a multi-national company.Skills and Knowledge
Required:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure principles,
methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in IT infrastructure
tools and technologies.
- Networking and infrastructure expert - hands-on expertise with
CISCO and Fortinet networking and firewall systems, LAN, and WAN
technologies (BGP, EIGRP, 802.11 Wireless standards, SSL and IPsec
VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN), backup and recovery, data center operations,
Cloud platform (AWS, Azure), with infrastructure integration.
- SAN administration - experience selecting, implementing, and
supporting common SAN infrastructures (Pure, Dell/EMC, NetApp,
Hitachi, etc.).
- Telecommunications - expertise with administering and
implementing internet provider circuits and common VOIP phone
systems.
- Management expertise for Microsoft networking platforms
including Windows Servers, Active Directory, Intune, MS SQL,
etc.
- Working support understanding of file/collaboration tools
(Sharepoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.).
- Hands on experience managing and optimizing cloud technologies
and services (AWS, Microsoft 365 and Intune, Azure).
- Working knowledge of current cybersecurity, IT operations and
compliance frameworks like: NIST, PCI, HIPAA, SOC II.

abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability
to convey complex technical information clearly.

- Fortinet and/or CISCO certifications.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Microsoft Office 365, Azure).

Location and Travel:
- Office Location - Transdev Corporate Office in Lombard, IL
(Chicago Western Suburbs).
- Hybrid Office Schedule - currently offering hybrid office
schedule 3 days in office, 2 days remote contingent as business and
meeting schedules allow.
- Occasional Travel to company and client locations required
outside of immediate office area (as a percent): up to

- Ability to carry, unbox, configure, and install networking
equipment in racks/cabinets.
- Ability to install and connect network wiring, patch panel

points.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects which weigh as
