SummaryThe Director, Business IT Solutions is a transformative thought leader who is results-oriented. This role is pivotal in driving technology-enabled solutions to enhance operational efficiency across various business functions and legal practices. This person will lead a team to identify, design, and implement innovative solutions, leveraging Cloud, AI/ML technologies, and modern software development practices.Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business functions and legal practice areas to understand and address their needs through technology.
• Lead a team of Portfolio Managers/Senior Managers in gathering and defining requirements.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of the solutions to execute the vision and strategy, both for the business functions in scope and the legal practice areas.
• Implement methodology to track performance of business solutions and monitor effectiveness in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Drive digital innovation, adoption, and user experience initiatives.
• Lead strategic transformation and digitization initiatives.Target Salary Range$300,000 - $380,000 if located in Illinois.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the Duties and Responsibilities (Duties) above satisfactorily and meet the requirements below.   • A minimum of 15 years in business and IT leadership, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in digital solutions development.
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant certifications.
  • Ability to work with full stack application architects in at least one of the following enterprise stacks: .Net, Java or Node.js.
  • Deep understanding of relational database systems such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with modern software development best practices such as containerized microservices and REST API.
  • Familiarity with cloud first development and DevOps techniques in at least one of the following leading cloud providers: Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-enterprise work streams and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.Preferred:
    • Experience working with globally dispersed teams and agile methodologies.
    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related disciplines.
    • Law firm or Professional services industry experience.Other Skills and Abilities:
