Our goal is to create tools that foster productivity, promote quality, and encourage collaboration among our engineers and support staff. This role will be vital in developing new tools and refining existing ones, helping us to automate processes, and delivering valuable business intelligence.The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Working with end-users to identify system needs and requirements
• Maintaining existing systems and developing new systems/functionality
• Analyzing emerging technologies to re-engineer existing processes
• Participating in all stages of software development from defining requirements to testing and documentationThis position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in our downtown Chicago office, and 2 days remote from home.QualificationsThis position requires:
  • A BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degree
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in software development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net)
  • Experience with database development (Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL)
  • Knowledge of source control (DevOps, GIT, Pipelines), REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and Entity Framework
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsValued but not required skills and experience:
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Automation and Microsoft Power Platforms
    • Understanding of security fundamentals (OAuth, OpenID)
    • Understanding of Agile Development Practices
    • CAD Experience (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blender, 3D, Lisp)
    • Experience with cloud platforms/solutions (Azure/Oracle Cloud Services)
