We are part of Dover Corporation, a growing, stable, and innovative $8.5 billion global company.We offer competitive pay and benefits, career advancement opportunities, and the ability to work a hybrid/remote schedule, working 3 days a week onsite and 2 days a week remotely if you'd like.WHAT YOU'LL DOIn this role, you will be responsible for the interpretation of engineering instructions and requirements to create high tolerance, multiple component mechanical 3D models and drawings that meet the application requirements by utilizing knowledge and experience combined with standard design practices.You will perform checking duties related to assembly and component drawings, part structures (BOM's), and item-specific information for accuracy of design intent and application-specific information. You will also participate in and contribute to process improvement and design for manufacturability activities as well as in the development and implementation of company-wide design standards and practices that reflect industry best practices and improved efficiency. Specific responsibilities include:

• Create 3D models and associated 2D drawings
• Create Item and Part Structure (BOM) information within ERP system
• Maintain 3D model and 2D drawing database within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system via Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process
• Perform checking duties on assembly and component level drawings
• Provide guidance & training to other Design Engineers and Drafters
• Update existing drawings to current/best manufacturing processes
• Participate in and contribute to process improvement and design for manufacturability activities
• Prepare engineering project proposals
• Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve client/engineering and management project issues as needed
• Support engineering and customers with preparation of technical assessment reports
• Assist with review & maintenance of design standards & work procedures
• Support manufacturing personnel with evaluations of deviated components, corrective action investigations, and other quality-related activities
• Support engineering process development and design for manufacturability efforts through specific assignments as directed by Engineering ManagementWHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in the design of rotating equipment
  • Experienced with precision design and manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of Engineering Principles and Design Practices
  • Highly skilled in 3D modeling software such as Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Demonstrated ability to create ideas and develop solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to apply continuous improvement techniques to existing processes and procedures
  • Ability to utilize precision measuring and surveying instruments such as calipers, inside/outside micrometers, depth gauges, surfaces gauges, etc.
  • Experience reading & developing engineering design prints with geometric dimensioning and tolerances
